The City Intelligence Lab of Madrid participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025

The City Intelligence Lab of Madrid, established under the collaboration agreement between the Madrid City Council and the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), took part last week in the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2025, held in Barcelona from November 4 to 6.
During the congress, the IoT Madrid Lab (IoTMADLab) presented a demonstration panel showcasing IoT solutions for urban management, including smart sensors, communication technologies, and data intelligence systems.
On November 6, the leaders of the Lab’s permanent working groups —Guillermo del Campo (IoT), José Ignacio Alonso (5G), Diego Rivera (Cybersecurity), and Felipe Ortega (Data/AI)— presented the main research lines and joint projects developed under the agreement.
The Lab also featured other key initiatives, such as the Smart Urban Space of Valdemingómez, presented by Guillermo del Campo, and the Executive Master in Digital Twins for Infrastructures and Cities, presented by Ignacio González Tejada, both focused on advancing innovation in urban management and digital infrastructure training.
The participation of the City Intelligence Lab in SCEWC 2025 reaffirmed its role as a hub for innovation, driving Madrid towards a more connected, sustainable, and intelligent city.
