IoTMADLab participated in the annual Meet-up of the IPv6 Council Spain

Held on May 7 at La Nave (Madrid), where it was analyzed how 6LowPAN is already enabling the necessary real-time interoperability in the IoTMADLab reference architecture
In a context in which the city of Madrid is taking a giant step forward in its vision of city 5.0, Fernando Álvarez (Deputy Director of Digital Transformation. D.G. Digital Office of the Madrid City Council) gave a presentation on the City Council’s commitment to an innovation hub such as loTMADLab and the launch of its four working groups (loT, 5G, Data Management and Cybersecurity).
The flagship to work together in all these actions is the new City Intelligence Lab, which is being launched to integrate all groups, and in which companies can participate to contribute to a more agile resolution of these challenges. You can consult all the possibilities of collaboration in the following link.
Likewise, Álvarez explained the major projects that the City Council has underway in this area, such as the Smart Urban Spaces, the Digital Twin, the City Council 5.0 or the Integral Platform for Citizen Service.
All this is part of the Madrid, Digital Capital Strategy, which promotes the innovative ecosystem of the city and the creation of digital solutions through the incorporation of emerging technologies to improve the quality of life of citizens and placing people always at the center.
Afterwards, the colloquium “Driving real-time Interoperability with 6LowpAN-IPv6” took place, moderated by Carlos Ralli-Ucendo (Head of Multinationals Partnership-Presales Engineering at Telefónica) and with the participation of Fernando Alvarez himself, Asunción Santamaría (IoTMADLAB Director), Valentina Taddeo (Marketing and Communication Leader Paradox Engineering) and Antonio J.
